HELP! Device asking for password after flashing new firmware

I don't know what happened. I went through the same process as before but this time it shows up in a black screen and says "To start up your device, enter your password."

The only other thing I can do is make an emergency call.

I don't have a password. It's a fresh install. What's going on here?

I can get into Download Mode and I can get into the Recovery but as soon as android boots up it asks for a password.

Hmm did u flashed it from odin ? If so wich CSC u selected ? CSC or HOME_CSC... ? Try to flash it again with choosing CSC file not HOME_CSC. It will erase all data form phone but should remove the password!!!!

For anyone who had this problem, the reason it happened to me is because I flashed the home CSC.

To fix it I flashed the AP/PDA again and the regular CSC.

Thanks so much for this.

Does anyone know why it comes up? I flashed this earlier and it was fine... and I reflashed it again - this came up.

Hi there.

I have a big problem with my Galaxy S7 G930F.
I´m from Germany, so I hope you´ll understand.

So, Android 7 was just rolled out in UK.
I´ve downloaded the firmware with CSC: BTU and flashed it with Odin on my S7.
It has worked fine. But the battery drain is to much.
I like to downgrade to Android 6.0.1 German with CSC: DBT.
I downloaded the firmware and tried to flash it with Odin.
I used Home CSC, because I won´t make a factory reset.
The phone restart and ask me for my password.
I tried "default_password" but it won´t work.
I tried my pin -> nothing!
I flashed Android 7 again (there is no ask for password), go to settings -> secrure start -> pin required and set a pin.
After that I flashed Android 6.0.1. again.
The phone make a restart and ask me for the pin NOT FOR PASSWORD, to start my device.
When I enter my pin, nothing happens. It still asking me for my pin.
Now I flashed Android 7 again, it asked me for my pin, and accept them and start.

What can I do to downgrade to Android 6.0.1 WITHOUT factory reset and WITHOUT ****ing asking password.

cheers
Tom

I think someone else had the same problem not long ago, and fixed it by flashing Nougat again

Thanks for your response.
I the last 3 days I flashed Nougat maybe 5 times.
I don´t want to have Nougat on my S7. I want to downgrade to Android 6.0.1
But if I flash it, the phone ask me for my password.
